Honestly, are prawns the best seafood going? Versatile and delicious. I could eat them every day.
I love prawns but I have tried a few times to cook them and I end up throwing them away.

I tried to make prawns pil pil but they taste awful no matter what I do.

I think it's because I am buying frozen prawns and thawing them out but I cannot find fresh ones anywhere.

Any help welcome :)

Was meant to run the smoker overnight, but lousy weather meant I ended up doing it in a casserole, with a couple cans of cider in with it. No idea if it's going to be particularly nice, but didn't have much of an alternative. To serve with BBQ sauce, brioche buns & coleslaw.
Was okay, less flavour than on the smoker, but the texture was good.

A five bean salad with mint, a tub of humus and some water biscuits. Did the trick seeing I was almost out of food.

After spending the entire day yesterday sat in our friends' garden noshing on bbq and drinking copiously, I'm going to do a roast dinner tonight and then eat it in bed. Beef with all the trimmings, I think.

I made a chilli con carne and added a couple of frozen Carolina Reapers.

It was hot. ****ing hot. In fact far too ****ing hot.

My hoop is going to be in bits by the morning.

^ You don't win friends with Salad.

Evening meal for me was a Baguette from Tesco, with an Aldi combo of their Topside sliced Beef, Horseradish, Lettuce and Tomato.

I love Aldi stuff. I was a bit of a snob about the place until I first went there this time last year. Their Pate's and Cheeses are outstanding.

Chicken breast and crispy streaky bacon in a toasted bun with lettuce, red onion, gherkin, Mayo, American mustard and Cholula chipotle sauce with fries. Superb.

The second half of my weapons grade chilli con carne.

Suprisingly, didnt seem as bad as yesterday. Either its mellowed or (more likely) Ive destroyed my taste buds.
