Liverpool look to be the real deal, only side for me that looks like they will challenge Man City this season.

Start of the season there are always a few strange results, let's hope its us!

This is just me being OCD, but when are they back in training?

I know they were given the weekend off after returning from Austria and ahead of the Liverpool game, but I expected them to be in bright and early this morning and Ogbonna is still posting breakfast photos from Ibiza.

I'll just have to trust Manuel on this one :arry:

Really looking forward to the game Sunday, hopefully we get to see an organised, disciplined and counter attacking West Ham United. I have no expectations of 3 points, that's why it's nice to start again a top team but I think we can nick something.

Come on you Irons!

Mate, a scouser, has offered me a ticket to sit in the Liverpool end for this one. I've said yes but f*** me I'm not looking forward to it.

If we score I may not get out alive

i might just be doing my best scouser impression with my delusion, but their pre-season has gone too smoothly. gleefully knocking three or four past most teams in glorified exhibition matches in exotic locations with no real experimentation. haven't had any real adversity or hard fought games. if we can get one early it will massively shake them.

Liverpool will continue to fail miserably at times, as they always do.

Lets hope (after a silly preseason) that they are at

- Delusion level 10 (the highest),
- Cocky level 11 (10 being the highest)
- Klopp Mad Tooth Grin level 15 (10 being the highest)

And that we are purely focused and ready to attack, defend and destroy without relaxing or letting anything go for a moment......and that this is one of the times when the scousers fail miserably!

I have my spot arranged under the table...................

I hope it’s a big table Paddy. I reckon come the 60th minute or thereabouts there’ll be a fair few looking to join you.

I’d love to be wrong but I can’t see our team gelling together in time to avoid a hiding here.

all caught up in the hype train of this summer, the excitement of the world cup and so on hopes are high but letting a bit of reality get in the way, I can't see us coming away with much on Sunday but it wont define our season though it may bring a few of the twitter bunch back down to earth.

I fear we're in for a spanking. Maybe 4-0 to the bindippers.

I'd love it if Allison had a 'mare, and was substituted for Karius after 30 mins, but sadly I can't see it happening.

Bloody scousers.

hoping to catch them cold at the beginning of the season...they have looked incredible in pre-season...i know we shouldnt read too much into that, but they have swept aside so many good sides and scored so many...

i think we really need to be at it to get anything from the game...

8 all draw then.
Unfortunately, Klopp always does stuff like this. Expect to see 2 of those centre backs return to the squad against us.

Predicting a display the same as we did at Arsenal for Bilic's first league game.

No one particularly giving us a chance, go there and sneak a win.

Much prefer to be playing them straight after they have had a CL mid-week game ... or even just before.

Someone else will get that luxury ....

I can't see this going to well ... 3-1 has been banded about a bit and I think that will be about right.

Their possible line up:

Alisson, Marius, Mignolet

Clyne, Van Dijk, Louvren, Gomez, Klavan, Moreno, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold

Fabinho, Keita, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Lallana,

Salah, Fermino, Sane, Shaqiri scare anyone to death, plus Sturridge, Ings, Origi

think if they don't have a Klopp balls up or a melt down when things don't go their way, and most teams have a "wobble" they'll give City a run for their money this year.

I expect a first game tonking. Nothing I have seen from us so far, makes me see us scoring 3 up there. We haven't put 3 in past our less than stellar opponents so far.

oops, forgot the mighty Villa......

Hope I'm bloody well wrong.......

Antonio must start as he usually plays excellent against this lot. Plus he has that ability to bumble his way through defences and he Recently did it in pre season.
It might not be to Pellegrini's taste but the Antonio bumble is unstoppable.
Unleash the bumbler!

I know they get the rub of the green typically, but I'm not sure they will get away with playing 21 players....

All jokes aside, their front three are terrifying but a lot of the midfield and defence are still questionable for me though.

Yes, they would all waltz into our side, but since when has that ever been any kind of a benchmark?

Guesswork, but I reckon that will be their starting XI.
