Far and away my favourite player and IMO, yes, a West Ham legend, (although I don't think he will be fully appreciated until he's retired).
Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend ?
An icon now, a legend if he remains for the rest of his career, which I'm sure he will!

Only one in the team who I'd be upset about if we got rid of him. Reid as well actually.
Good footballer. Amazing that he manages to get the ball down and play a bit with the shower of sh*t that surrounds him.

Bit like Fat Frank then really.rare as rockinghorse shat wrote:Agree with that generally, crouchend. For us, anyway.
He'd benefit hugely too, with quality players alongside him, players to shield him, let him play.

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend ?
A good average to above average PL player.
Loyalty can only be measured if a bigger club came in for him, which has never been the case.
A good servant to the club. A modern day beacon of West Ham.
Legend? No. What for?

Two promotions, and just losing a Fa Cup final?
I love Mark, top player for my money and would look a lot better surrounded by good players. Him Carrick and Ravel would be a lovely midfield

Doesnt make him a legend in my eyes.West Ham Matt wrote:Two promotions, and just losing a Fa Cup final?
Everyone has their own criteria i suppose.
Does anyone see Tony Hibbert or Leon Osman as Everton legends?

no pace, **** free kicks, stupid clumsy tackles, sideways passes...Crouchend_Hammer wrote:unfortunately, he is just a mid-level Premiership midfielder and nothing more IMHO. a tad one-dimensional. Can be great on his day, but can also be very very average. He just does not have the consistency to play at the top level

Like the bloke and he's proper West Ham, which you don't see at our club very often nowadays.
Sadly though, he can't be mentioned in the same breath as Brooking and Bonzo. Sorry, but that's just the way it is.

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend ?
He's West Ham through and through but the word "Legend" is thrown about a bit. A solid player who has had his ups and downs with us but for me his loyalty is his greatest thing. For me he's not a legend, sadly.

Both legends in my eyes, Mark is vastly underrated by the untrained eyes.Romford wrote:In the same bracket as Steve Potts

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend ?
Noble is a good passer and a has been a great servant to the club. My only criticisms of him are that he doesn't score enough goals from open play, and his set pieces are often poor.
