Re: the dinner thread
We have a mobile chip van that visits our wee village up here on the East Coast and last night it was Haddock and Chips with plenty of S&V. We then drove 5 minutes to the beach and eat our fish supper on a balmy evening with the sun slowly going down, it doesn't set until after 10 at the moment. Fish and chips on the beach, doesn't get much better than that.Monkey Mike wrote:Large cod and chips sat on Deal seafront.

Re: the dinner thread
We've had our eldest and her husband along with our grandson over for the week so we have been stuffing our faces all week, had a couple of really good meals out, so tonight it's steak and salad, tomorrow, ham and salad and I believe this trend will last until I have to go back to England in July.

Prepped yesterday, marinated in bbq sauce, spices and bourbon. 4 hours in the casserole at a low temp, sauce reduced, then back in at a higher temp to glaze. They were bloody delicious, easily the nicest beef short ribs I’ve done at home.djclipz wrote:  is that for today or yesterday? If so, what time was it served?
