She went out the room this evening and left her medals on the table. I put them on, they felt lovely. When she came back in, after a short while she noticed and demanded I give them back. Of course I refused, as I said to her they are just as much mine as hers, in the same way that her achievement award last year was mine as well for all the hours of testing and revision notes I helped her with.

Honestly the ingratitude. You give them everything and then they only spell TEAM with the letter I.

I probably won't even get mentioned when she gets her Oscar, or gives her winners speech at Wimbledon. :fsake:

He's not quite 5.
The sooner they learn the value of joyless discipline, the better.

That's great news.
And you've done us all a great service by reminding us to not ignore strange signs & symptoms AND that cancer treatment can work.

Considering you said at the start it was something like a 30% success chance that's bloody good going.

That or your maths is ****.

We've booked a weeks holiday in August, in a caravan at a holiday camp in Yorkshire for the kids.

A few years back it was sun and city breaks in the med, or week long piss ups. Now it's a caravan up t'north.

I'm ridiculously excited.

You might have more fun in that caravan that you had years ago.
It doesn't matter where you go or how much you spend or even if you stay at home.
Days away from work are always a holiday.

Especially with kids, who don’t care if they’ve gone somewhere “exotic” or not. They just want to arse around with their dad for a few days.

As I explained top ToMoS, when cancer survival rates are spoken about, it's 5 year survival - so 5 years from end of treatment - and Stage 3 Bladder Cancer does only have a 30% survival rate.

If I'm still here in 2024, that means I've done it

To the other posts - cheers :scarfer:

It's ok dude.

We did the same with our daughter, 9, and son, 5.

We did do it before sports day though and they both won their mains races at the end.
