Depends on the energy, but with arcing the risk usually is a flashover and so horrific burns.

Someone I worked with had a 6350V earth fault go right through his arm - entered his hand, up his lower arm and out through his elbow. His arm is pretty burned up now, but you can see the entry and exit points. He was lucky that he was leaning against a metal panel, hence the electricity exiting through his elbow, and not continuing up his arm, down his body through his heart and out through his feet.

Why have I developed a fear of needles? Up to my mid 20’s I was totally fine but now I have developed a mental block and pass out whenever an injection is taking place
This morning I had to have a blood test, everything fine, needle goes in still fine, then I get the feeling of a black out coming and flop in the chair like a dead fish, 10 mins laying in the chair in recovery and now feel like a sack of ****

Worked in one place where they had a pole mounted transformer.
A bird had nested on it, then it rained, blew the PMT to pieces along with the nest and the birds.
Also knocked out the power to the estate until they came and replaced the fuses.

I really am a doctor, and I concur with your diagnosis of scaredyshitpantitis. The only known cure is to grow a pair.

Although where you grow them may cause further issues..

Speaking from a totally unqualified position, I suspect that you may have some unresolved sh*t/worries, going on in your mind. Don't we all...
It needed an outlet (that it wasn't getting) & latched on to the nearest phobia that it could give you.
Seek some talking therapy & it will probably resolve.
Now, it's just become fear on fear. Because you're now so fearful of passing out, that in itself, makes it happen.
Next time tell them & perhaps you can lie down while they take it?

You poor thing .

When I was a patient at The Royal Alexandra , Paisley in 2012/2013 they were running out of places to take blood out of and stick cannulas in , both arms had veins so fragile the needles just went straight through , I was covered in bruises - However , they had to insert another cannula somewhere so they sent for this Specialist Nurse from the far end of the Hospital - she managed to find a vein in the space between my little finger and the next - she was bloody amazing , it actually worked .

In the last few weeks same thing happened , after a week of three different types of intravenous antibiotics my veins shrank back into my body not wanting to be stuck yet again - the Nurse tried both hands and arms then gave up and called a Doctor , she then failed and talked about taking blood out of my leg , then she had a change of mind and called this young Polish lad who had been a trained Paramedic back in his Native Country - ' We had to use these ramshackle vehicles to carry patients around , it was hopeless ' he told me as he tightened the tourniquet and told me to make a fist - absolutely painless and successful . Great young man .
We're bloody lucky to have all these people from all over the World willing to work for our NHS , God Bless each and every one of them .

Why do flying insects spend ages banging their head against closed windows but ignore the open ones?

Somewhere, deep in page 5 of the Snug section on '6 Knees Up Mother Brown', 'Buddy Holly' is asking why those flaming humans keep leaving buildings in his flight path.

Invest $1 in one of those spray bottles you can use for weed-killer or whatever , fill it with water and spray it on the fly , he'll fall to floor unable to fly - get yourself an empty jam jar and release fly outside or just stick yer size 13s on it , blam , job done .
