Player Ratings

David James
After an impressive start to the season he seems to be drifting back into bad habits. Attempts to punch the ball away met with predictably mixed success.

Tomas Repka
Perfect conditions for Repka?EUR(TM)s brand of no-nonsense defending. Got forward well too.

Wayne Quinn
The narrow midfield made it imperative that he break forward to supply width ?EUR? unfortunately no-one told him.

Christian Dailly
Safety first should have been the order of the day; far too many back passes to James on a very heavy pitch.

Ian Pearce
Mobility is returning after a relatively injury free run in the team.

Michael Carrick
Tried his best to play football on a paddy field of a pitch. A player with his talent should have a far bigger influence on games than he?EUR(TM)s exerted this season.

Hayden Mullins
Anonymous.

Brian Deane
Better with his forehead than his feet, the lack of crosses forced Deane to showcase his ?EUR~footballing?EUR(TM) skills. Oh dear!

Kevin Horlock
Surprise return from injury, maintained the generally low standard of play that was occurring around him.

Don Hutchison
Should ask for some lighter football boots for Christmas, as his current ones are so heavy they?EUR(TM)re stopping him from running.

David Connolly
No service at all, but at least showed that if there was no inspiration he would provide perspiration. Unfortunately none of his team-mates followed suit.

Substitutes

Richard Garcia
(Replaced Deane, 67) Showed more application and desire in ten minutes than most of the team showed in ninety.

Stephen Bywater
Did not play.

Sean Byrne
Did not play.

Anton Ferdinand
Did not play.

Matthew Kilgallon
Did not play.
