It was perhaps West Ham United's finest hour - and for the first time ever the entire game has been released - on DVD - by ILC Sport.

This new DVD - released to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the game - contains the entire match plus interviews with the likes of Kenny Brown and Brian Dear, who both played on that memorable May evening.

The game itself is a joy to watch, and as Kenny Brown rightly says in one of the bonus interviews, should be shown to every Hammers fan as a benchmark of what West Ham are all about. This was not only West Ham's but also Ron Greenwood's finest hour and is simply a joy to behold, such is the quality of football on show.

Captain Bobby Moore - for one - epitomises everything that was great about the club; his performance in the game is simply outstanding, and worth forking out the more-than-reasonable RRP of 16 for alone. One minute he's defying the German strikers in defence, the next he's turning up in the centre-forward position as an attacker. Fantastic stuff.

And it's also amusing to hear the legendary Kenneth Wolstenholme predict that Moore could be standing on the same Wembley steps 12 months later holding the World Cup aloft!

The only quibble is with the quality of the match footage, which is less than perfect - but that's understandable bearing in mind the recording is some 40 years old. But it is still very watchable, and it's also great to hear the assembled claret and blue masses belting out 'Bubbles' several times during the game.

ILC earn a bonus point for adding a replica match program to the DVD - a nice touch, which complements the sturdy and well designed packaging.

All in all a fabulous buy that any true Hammers fan shouldn't be without.
