Newcastle United

0-2: Sunday, 17th September

Battled gamely but was clearly not 100% fit following his illness.

Newcastle United

0-2: Sunday, 17th September

Did ok, at times his best performance in a West Ham shirt. Sadly, lack of tracking back allowed Duff too much space for the opening goal.

Newcastle United

0-2: Sunday, 17th September

A decent effort, especially when taking into consideration the fact that he shouldn't have started due to illness.

Newcastle United

0-2: Sunday, 17th September

Average and poor distribution. Did ok against Duff, but not a patch on PaIntsil at the moment.

Palermo

0-1: Thursday, 14th September

Energetic, but poor going forward. Conceded possession too cheaply at times.

Palermo

0-1: Thursday, 14th September

Solid enough defensively but failed to add enough going forward in the way that a fit Pantsil might have done.

Aston Villa

1-1: Sunday, 10th September

The manager has been aware that his crossing needs to improve. A lot of fans are as well informed now. Great save to stop Petrov from putting Villa 2-1 up.

Aston Villa

1-1: Sunday, 10th September

Uncomfortable at times his distribution certainly needs working on. Incredible work for the clearance though.

Liverpool

1-2: Saturday, 26th August

(Replaced Konchesky, 81) Found space on his unfavoured left-side.

Liverpool

1-2: Saturday, 26th August

(Replaced Konchesky, 81) Did ok on the wrong side when replacing Konch.

Charlton Athletic

3-1: Saturday, 19th August

Not a bad debut at all. Did not get too many chances to show his defensive abilities, but going forward looked promising.

Charlton Athletic

3-1: Saturday, 19th August

A good half defensively and possibly unlucky to be replaced at half time. Looks to have a bit of a shot on him. Promising.

Charlton Athletic

3-1: Saturday, 19th August

A decent debut for the former Preston man.

Olympiakos

1-1: Saturday, 12th August

A solid enough home debut. Let the battle between him and John Paintsil (and possibly John Spector too?) commence ...
