West Ham United captain Nigel Reo-Coker played a full 90 minutes tonight as England under-21s drew 2-2 with their Spanish counterparts.

The 22-year-old midfielder continued his recent run of good form by helping the young Lions come from 2-0 behind to earn a well deserved draw at Derby's Pride Park stadium.

In what was former Hammer Stuart Pearce's first game in charge of the youngsters, David Nugent and Reading's Leroy Lita scored the second-half goals which cancelled out Spain's 2-0 half-time lead.

Anton Ferdinand - who should be fit for Saturday's clash with Watford - was absent from the squad.

* 18-year-old Hogan Ephraim - currently on loan to high-flying Championship outfit Colchester United - was a second-half substitute as England's under-19s beat Poland 4-1 last night.
