Freddie Sears could be in line for his first full start after recovering from injury.

The 18-year-old striker burst onto the scene by scoring the winning goal against Blackburn on his first team debut last month before almost repeating the feat against Everton a week later.

Injury put paid to him featuring in United's visit to Sunderland - a game which the Hammers lost 2-1 thanks to Ady Reid's last minute. However Alan Curbishley confirmed that Sears is once again fully fit - and raring to go.

"Freddie's done terrific for the last couple of weeks but par for the course he picked up an injury and missed the Sunderland game," said Curbishley.

"We had to hold him back a little bit last week because he felt he was alright but I wanted to make sure that he was available.

"I have been saying all along that there's got to be an opportunity but we've got to pick and choose when that happens.

"I said I was hoping one or two of them would be back to give us that little bit of a lift, enthusiasm and fresh legs - and he comes into that category."

Also back in contention for a starting berth tonight is Bobby Zamora, who has also been back in full training this week having missed the last two games with blisters.
