Scott Parker has admiited that the club's recent form is cause for concern.

The United midfielder, talking after the defeat at Bolton admitted that recent performances hadn't been good enough.

However he assured supporters worried by a meagre return of just four points from a possible 24 that the players are doing their best to change the club's fortunes.

"Obviously we're struggling at present," he said. "Results haven't been good although at times performances have been okay. We're as eager to change that as anybody.

"I can assure everyone who's involved with the club that we are trying our hardest to turn things around. It's just come at a bad time for us.

"We are having a bit of a blip but we need to rally round and try and pick up a result in the next game."

Parker, who had missed much of the season with a string of injuries will match his longest spell of consecutive first team games for West Ham should he feature against Derby this weekend.

Having featured in the last six games, Parker will match his record of seven consecutive appearances (1st December - 29th December 2007) this weekend.

* The Hammers have won just four of the 14 Premier League match Parker has played in this season.
