Former Hammer Manuel Da Costa is trending on YouTube this morning after scoring a wonder goal for current club Sivasspor.

The Portuguese defender spent two eventful years at the Boleyn Ground between 2009 and 2011 firstly as part of Gianfranco Zola's squad, and then Avram Grant's.

Since leaving West Ham, Da Costa has enjoyed spells in Russia with Lokomotiv Moscow, on loan with Nacional in Portugal and now resides in Turkey having moved to his current club in the summer. And it was in Sivas the weekend before last that Da Costa amazed the watching crowd with a stunning 35-yard thunderbolt.

With the game poised at 1-1 after former Portsmouth star John Utaka's opening goal for the home side had been cancelled out by Eskisehirspor's Diomansy Kamara, Da Costa picked up the ball just inside the opponent's half before driving forward and unleashing an unstoppable drive.

You can see the goal by hitting play on the video below.

Da Costa made a total of 35 appearances for West Ham during his spell in east London, scoring four goals. He scored twice in the 2009/10 season - in a 3-3 draw at Hull and a 2-2 draw at Everton - and twice the following year, both against Stoke (a 3-1 Carling Cup win and a 3-0 Premier League success).
