Keen on Abel?

West Ham have been linked with a summer move for Hull City striker Abel Hernandez.

The Daily Star, not previously known for their accuracy regarding player movements insist this morning that West Ham are interested in signing the 24 year old Uruguayan international, who has scored just four goal s for the Tigers this season.

Hernandez moved to England last summer following five years with Palermo in Italy. However the Hammers are said to be locked in a battle with Newcastle for the Pando-born forward.

Hernandez began his first season in the Premier League impressively, scoring three times in Hull's opening five games of the season. Since then, he has managed to score just one additional goal - that coming in the 3-2 hoe defeat to Chelsea last weekend.

Hull paid Palermo a club-record £10million to sign the striker, who has represented his country at full international level on 17 occasions.
