Serie A side Sampdoria have been told to come back with a huge offer if they hope to land West Ham's Ecuador international Enner Valencia.

i Blucerchiati are underestood to have enquired about the availablity of Valencia, who scored five goals for the Hammers during his first season in the Premier League.

However they have been told that West Ham will accept no less than ?25million for a player who cost them approximately half that last summer, when moving from Mexican side CF Pachua.

Valencia, who had endured a stop/start first season at the Boleyn was previously linked with a move to Chelsea in January this year.

And only last week the 25-year-old admitted he would be open to a move "if it is for my good and that of West Ham" - despite having spent less than a year at West Ham.

In other transfer news, West Ham are keeping a close eye on Liverpool's 25-year-old central defender Dejan Lovren.

The Croatian international moved to Merseyside last July in a ?20million switch from Southampton, who signed him from Lyon 13 months previously for just ?8.5million.
