West Ham to face Wanderers

West Ham United will host Championship side Wolverhapmton Wanderers in the third round of the FA Cup, next month.

The world's most famous Cup competition will be gracing the Boleyn Ground on at least one more occasion after the Hammers were drawn at home to Wolves in tonight's draw.

Currently managed by former Millwall boss Kenny Jackett, Wolves - who missed out on last season's play-offs on goal difference - sit 14th in the table with 24 points from their opening 19 games.

The meeting between the two clubs will be the 60th in all competitions, with West Ham previously having won 27 to Wanderers' 18.

The tie will be the first time the two clubs have met since New Year's Day 2011, when Avram Grant's West Ham secured one of only five Premier League wins at the Boleyn that season with a 2-0 victory.

Wolves most recent win at the Boleyn came the season prior to that - a 3-1 win in March 2010 - but you have to go back another 32 years to find their last win in Upon Park, a 2-1 success in March 1978.

Since then West Ham have won five of the eight meetings between the two teams at home at the Boleyn drawing two and losing just (the aforementioned) one.
