Swans preparing Valencia bid?

Swansea are being linked with a bid for West Ham United's Ecuador international Enner Valencia.

The 26-year-old, who manager Slaven Bilic is prepared to part company with due to his indifferent form is said to be interesting the Welsh club who only narrowly avoided relegation from the Premier League last season.

The Swans are reported by a tabloid newspaper to be considering an offer around the £10million mark for the South American, which would represent a loss for West Ham who paid CF Pachua circa £12million for the striker two summers ago.

Valencia was part of the Ecuador team that was knocked out of the Copa America on Friday night at the hands of hosts USA. La Tri were beaten 2-1 in the competition's quarter finals; Clint Dempsey and Gyasi Zardes were on target for the US with Michael Arroyo grabbing a late consolation for Ecuador.

You may see highlights from that game below.
