Jonathan Calleri could be on his way to the Canary Islands as he seeks to escape his Hammers hell.

The Argentine Under 21 interntional was one of a number of new signings to flop at the Olympic Stadium in the opening half of the 2016/17 season and has failed to feature for Slaven Bilic's side since the 1-0 win over Sunderland back in October.

However it has been revealed by Gianluca Di Marzio that La Liga side Las Palmas, who are based in the Canary Islands, are attempting to lure the 23-year-old to the Estadio Gran Canaria.

Although Calleri's registration is held by Uruguayan parent club Deportivo Maldonado, West Ham are understood to be involved in negotitations due to the player's existing loan agreement which p[laces him in London fopr the entire season.

Fellow Spanish side Deportivo Coruna have also expressed an interest and are said to be closely monitoring the situation.

West Ham are reported to have paid Maldonado €4.7million to bring Calleri on loan to London, even though he made only six first team appearances and failed to score a single goal.

* In other transfer news, former Hammer Ravel Morrison is being linked with a loan move to Premier League strugglers Hull City. His current club, Lazio, are said to be desperate to remove the attacking midfielder from their books.
