Let's be the family we always were

Lifelong Hammers fan Paul Colborne believes that new fans group Hammers United can provide the independent platform that many supporters have been searching for.

Paul, known to friends and acquaintances as 'Bubbles' was one of several fans involved in the protests that took place during the Premier League clash with Burnley in March 2018 - a show of defiance by supporters that resulted in the FA fining West Ham £100,000.

But now he is reaching out to fellow fans to come together under the banner of a new supporters group that was launched earlier this month with view to challenging the status quo and representing the fan base in future discussions with the Board.

"I've always been proud of being a West Ham supporter," said Paul. "We're a family, we stick together and we're proud of our heritage. So let's stick together, be proud and be the family we always were.

"Let's stand together, shoulder to shoulder and let's do this - let's get the Board round the table."
