Manuel Pellegrini remains keen to lure Edin Dzeko to West Ham during the summer - although reports that a deal has already struck appear to be premature.

The Hammers boss is reportedly keen to team up with the Roma striker, who worked under him during his Championship-winning spell at Manchester City, once again.

However reports that the 33-year-old striker has already agreed a two-year deal worth in the region of €200,000 with West Ham are thought to be wide of the mark.

Roma's number nine has scored an impressive 15 goals from 41 appearances in Serie A and for Bosnia already this season, despite being in his mid-thirties.

And despite West Ham previously having stated that they are keen to reduce the average age of the squad, Dzeko is viewed by Pellegrini as the perfect potential replacement for Marko Arnautovic, who still looks set to leave east London this summer.
