Nathan Holland has extended his stay at West Ham until the summer of 2022.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who initially moved to West Ham from Everton in January 2017 on a three-and-a-half-year contract has signed an extended two-year contract with the Hammers.

And the talented youngster - who Terry Westley claimed possessed "those late developer signs which we like," upon his arrival at West Ham - immediately targeted a place in Manuel Pellegrini's first team squad, having already been included in the 18-man squad earlier in the season.

"West Ham has felt like home since I joined the club and I’m delighted to extend my contract with the Hammers," the Wythenshawe-born Holland told whufc.com.

"I want to finish the season strongly and work hard in the summer. I want to be ready to come back firing and see where that takes me.

"I just have to keep pushing, keep playing well, enjoy my football, and be ready for when my chance comes.

"The boss likes it when I go quick, one-on-one. He gives me confidence and really believes in me to do that. I just try to show that.

"Recently, with the Under 23s, I’ve tried to be attacking as much as I can and really express myself out there. I think I quickly adapted to his style of play and I think I’ve come on as a player a lot this year. Hopefully I can continue to do that."

Holland, despite being born and bred in the North West is also eligible to feature internationally for Barbados despite having represented England at several youth levels.
