Manuel Pellegrini has dismissed reports of a potential return to Spain, despite being linked with two La Liga clubs in the past few days.
His first season at West Ham - which resulted in a tenth-place finish - may have represented the club's first top half finish since moving to Stratford but has generally been considered simply satisfactory, following the club's near-£100million squad investment last summer.Embed from Getty Images
However that hasn't stopped both Seville and Barcelona being linked with a potential move for the Hammers boss, who remains highly regarded in the football world nonetheless and has previously been in charge of three Spanish clubs - Villareal, Real Madrid and Malaga.
Barca, who were knocked out of the Champions League by Liverpool at the semi final stage despite having won the first leg 3-0 are thought to be considering dismissing Ernesto Valverde, the club's current head coach, which could open the door for a Pellegrini approach.
Meanwhile Seville, who could yet end the 2018/19 La Liga season in fourth place are also considering a move for Pellegrini, following the recent announcement that current manager Joaquín Caparros - who is fighting leukemia - will leave the club at the end of the campaign.
Yet despite the combined interest and reports of Pellegrini being less than happy with the purported £25million transfer budget for this coming summer, the 65-year-old is currently determined to see out his three-year contract at West Ham, signed last summer.

The Hammers boss was seen taking in the sights of Plymouth, of all places, on Tuesday afternoon, where he stopped for photos with several locals whilst taking in a bite to eat at one of the town's many seafood-based eateries.
