Abanda interesting West Ham and other stories

West Ham United are reported to be one of two clubs to have expressed an interest in AC Ajaccio’s Davis Abanda.

The 18-year-old, French-born attacking midfielder is reported to have piqued the attention of West Ham scouts, despite having not yet made a single first team appearance for the Ligue 2 club.



The brother of AC Milan left-back Leroy Abanda, Davis - who began his career with Bastia and spent time in the French 5th division during the 2018/19 campaign with Ajaccio's 'B' team - is also reported to have been monitored by Crystal Palace.

* In other transfer news, Everton are said to be taking a close interest in West Ham's 29-year-old full back Aaron Cresswell.

The Liverpudlian defender has been suggested as a potential departure from West Ham this summer, five years after he was signed from Ipswich Town in a ?4million deal.

Everton, who are seeking a replacement for 34-year-old Leighton Baines have long been admirer's of Cresswell, who has made three appearances for England since joining the Hammers.

* Kostas Fortounis remains strongly linked with a move to West Ham despite no movement in the past few days.

However one report from Greece suggests that the Hammers remain interested in the 26-year-old Olympiacos player, who was rumoured to have been thje subject of an ?8million bid from the Hammers recently, and are attempting to thrash out a deal.
