West Ham are keeping tabs on the situation regarding Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi.

The Argentine defender is reported to be unsettled at City having featured in just 18 of their 38 Premier League fixtures this season and is reported to be seeking regular first team football (says Top Mercato).

Whilst Otamendi would ideally choose a club that can offer Champions League football were he to leave Manchester, West Ham are understood to have registered their interest should he ultimately choose to remain in England.

Paris St Germain are currently considered the favourites to sign Otamendi, who will cost any potential suitor £20-30million, although in addition to West Ham both Juventus and Atletico Madrid are reported to be monitoring the situation closely.

The 30-year-old joined the Serie A side in 2017 following eight seasons with Ligue 1 side Lyon but spent last summer on loan at Sevilla having failed to suitably impress during his first season at the Stadio Olimpico.

Now the player - who spent much of last season sidelined through injury - has been offered to both Premier League clubs with view to a season-long loan, write Le Buteur.
