Exclusive: Arnie's altercation [video]

Marko Arnautovic was involved in a lengthy dispute with a West Ham supporter last month.

The Austrian forward, whose €25million sale to Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG was confirmed by West Ham this morning leapt to the defence of his agent and brother Danijel when a Hammers fan accused the latter of forcing the club to sell the Austrian international.

Speaking after an end-of-season fun day for younger fans in May, Arnautovic accused the English media of twisting Danijel's words in a very public conversation with supporter Billy Wylie - whilst insisting that he shouldn't be held responsible for his brother's comments.

"You can explain English to someone else better than I or my brother," replied Arnautovic, when asked why the agent had touted him around other clubs despite Marko having recently signed a contract extension.

"When you talk to Talksport, when you talk to The Sun, they're going to change your words. I stayed quiet during the whole thing and spoke to only the gaffer or the Board.

"I don't talk. Nowhere. I can't talk."

Arnautovic - who was United's leading goalscorer in both of his two seasons at the club - also insisted that he was his own biggest critic, whilst suggesting that he hadn't been shown enough support by the club's fanbase during his spell in Stratford.

His brother Danijel was most recently in the news when likening his treatment by West Ham to the way in which a farmer would treat cattle. You may view the entire five-minute exchange above.

Arnautovic's new club announced his arrival on Monday morning
