Supporters group Hammers United have issued a list of hints and tips for their members and supporters in general with regards to stewarding at the London Olympic Stadium ahead of the new season.

The group, which was set up towards the end of the last campaign have attracted several thousand members since forming.

And this week they issued an advice sheet aimed at those fans who may find themselves experiencing issues with the stadium's stewards this season, following numerous problems with in-house security since West Ham moved to Stratford in 2016.

The sheet's eight bullet points, which may be found on their website at hammerunited.com include advice with regards to how to engage with the stewards and what they can and cannot do legally in the event of a problem arising.

The advice sheet was prepared in conjunction with Amanda Jacks from the Football Supporters Association, who is herself a long-term West Ham supporter that has represented football fans requiring legal advice or support many times in the past.

The stewarding at the LOS has been the cause of much criticism since West Ham moved to Stratford in 2016. However over time those problems have largely disappeared, due to improved training and the return of some of the stewards who were formally employed by the club at the Boleyn Ground.
